Murf, I had one in my home stereo that could record as well.
The first microwaves, black and white TVs, ma-bell owning the phone (no cell at that), no GPS, no internet, all the stores that no longer exist and many more.

I'm waiting for the day Facebook goes the way of AOL and becomes "Something my parents do."
Little girl hit the 3 months mark last weekend and we had this conversation at a BBQ. Stuff that had happened in my grandparents time, vs my parents, vs us, etc..

My first assignment after boot camp, our unit didn't even have a computer yet - we were still using a teletype! Once we finally did get a computer, it was one of those green text only Unisys systems (big ass system that weighed a ton). Someone kind tech who did the installation of the system left this game called "Rats" on on the hard drive. Once the CO found out we were playing Rats, he had it removed.... bastard
