"Papers please." said the guard at the gate to the base. The new recruit reached into his poncho to pull out the still dry clearance papers, which was the last dry thing on him in the pouring rain. The guard looked over the now smearing ink on the pages. A smirk came over his face.
"Magnet of Hell, hunh. Well as long as you are not a bullet magnet we should get along o.k. Grab your gear and head to the third bunker on the left. They are expecting you!" The guard handed back the paperwork and signaled to the nearby tower. The gate slowly lifted to let the new recruit in.
"Access Granted" shouted the guard over the dull roar of falling water.
