Brothers,

I just got the word. This has hit me really, really hard... as you all have experienced when you first got the tragic news. What makes it especially painful is that I have been away for some time and I feel terrible for not keeping in touch. I didn't really realize how close you can get to someone you never met face to face until they are no longer there. As I write this, I don't know how I'll come to grips with not keeping in touch with him and with all of you.

I feel many of the same sentiments that Murf has expressed in his earlier post here and to read your responses reminds me of why I came to FVIII in the first place. I hope that I can make a return to TS and catch up with you, even though I cannot join you in game.

All I can manage to express into words is that how lucky I am to have known Dale and for all that he has taught me over the years and in his passing; I will forever remember our long late night chats and bayo-stabs in RO. He is loved like a brother and will be missed as long as I breathe.

Rest in peace brother.

Just want to add my own regret and sadness at Kyril's passing. He was the first to welcome me into F8, back in 2004, and he was one of the nicest, most decent guys to me throughout UT2k4 and getting to know some RO. He was generous with teaching new stuff, and equally generous when you learned it and turned around and fragged him back. I didn't have the opportunity to interact with him nearly as much as all of you in recent years, but I'll keep warm memories of his welcome, his support, and his friendship. I'm happy that he had such a strong, supportive community in all of you - he surely deserved that.

Dale AKA Kyril passed away on Dec 12th from a massive stroke. As you are, we were all very up set with his passing and we all miss him very much. As Dale was more than just a gaming buddy. He was a freind and brother to all of us.

This is a unreal i just spoke with him in nov 08 and he was helping with a pc issue Kyril was more then a friend he was a hero to me and the only hero i have ever had in my life was my father, Kyril was a real man and his honor and integrity was at ones highest level he will never ever be forgotten in my life and the rest of all us who he has touched .

im so deeply proud of the past 7 years he has blessed me with he has brought so much into my life and the things i have learned from from him i wouldn't be where i am at today if i have never met this man , we were planning on meeting this spring i wanted to surprise him and show him the mountain i live on and how beautiful it is, i have deer in my yard everyday i live along state owned property so i have no neighbors and hunting season all year around and i have a lake on my property ducks and geese i know he would have never left this place once he had seen it and this makes my heart so heavy im so sad you guys i owe him so much and i never had the chance to give back what he has given to me. i bought two horses because i didnt want to ride alone i needed a friend to ride with and now i will still have to ride alone , this has got to be the worse beginning of a new year i have ever had in my life .

I will never ever forget this wonderful man i will go on living with his beliefs and all the knowledge and integrity and honesty and love he has blessed me with noone can hold a candle to him for he is one of a kind and a real HERO in my life i will meet him 1 day and he will be showing me his beautiful home on his mountain and i know he will have a horse there waiting for us to ride together to his lake on his property in heaven with his beautiful daughter right at his side . I love you Dale Kyril Croff a real american Hero!!!
