DoW recently switched from Vent to TS, after some stability problems with Vent (client-side, not server-side). We're having a lot of problems with TS too, tho - mostly disconnects, probably once or twice a day on average.

My memory of the old F8 server is that disconnects or short outages were also frequent, but more like once a week on average - much better than what DoW is currently experiencing.

How's TS working out for you guys now? What server provider are you using? I can find good things and bad things to say about both TS and Vent, but this instability is really too much for us to tolerate. :cry:

We haven't had any recent crashes or disconnects that I know of. I hardly have any problems with TS. Of course funk would better answer those questions.

Sounds like it's a provider problem if it's dropping you daily.

lol yeah it's a funk special. Last time it crashed is during a power outage at the building it's hosted at during a thunderstorm.

There ws a problem at one point where a few members would get kicked and couldn't rejoin for twenty minutes. Funk fixed that one, other than that it's been smooth sailing.

We're still figuring out whether to go TS or Vent, but I'm glad to hear that you guys have a stable server and that there's nothing inherently wrong with TS serverside.

Not really... I mean, yes, I still consider myself a GW player, but I haven't had time to pick it up in about two months. Too much stupid UT! :wink:

But I look forward to playing it again "soon"!
